The former Australia and Pakistan head coach will remain at the Incora County until at least the end of the 2025 campaign
Derbyshire have secured the services of head of cricket Mickey Arthur until the end of the 2025 season.
The ex-Australia, South Africa, Pakistan and Sri Lanka head coach enjoyed a fine first campaign at the helm at the Incora County Ground.
Alongside a fifth-place finish in LV= Insurance County Championship Division Two, which included a tilt at promotion, Falcons reached the T20 Blast quarterfinals.
The campaign also included a string of impressive individual performances. Wayne Madsen finished the season as the Championship's leading run-scorer while George Scrimshaw and Sam Conners earned England Lions call-ups.

Upon agreeing to join the club in November 2021, Arthur agreed to a two-year deal with a view to a third but this latest agreement sees him commit his immediate future to the club.
"I've always said that Derbyshire is a county close to my heart since working with the likes of Eddie Barlow and Fred Swarbrook, and my first season with the club has only made that feeling grow," he added.
"Supporters have made me feel instantly welcome, we have a squad full of potential and I'm looking forward to developing it and challenging for silverware at the very top of county cricket.

"The way the club is run from top to bottom has impressed me, everyone from the players to the Supervisory Board and off-field staff have bought into our project and mentality, and I've been backed to achieve our goals."
Chair Ian Morgan added: "When we appointed Mickey as our head of cricket, we saw it as a statement of our ambition, and the developments made in the last 12 months have highlighted our potential as a club.
"We're delighted to extend Mickey's deal with Derbyshire, he’s started an exciting project and wants to bring success and silverware back to our county."
