Pollard has been charged 20 per cent of his match fee following the incident, which took place during the clash at Lauderhill in Florida
Kieron Pollard has been hit with an ICC fine and handed one demerit point for "disobeying" the umpires during West Indies' second T20I against India.
Pollard has been charged 20 per cent of his match fee following the incident, which took place during the abandoned clash at Lauderhill in Florida.
An ICC statement said that Pollard "called a substitute onto the field despite having been repeatedly told by the umpires that a request must be made for a substitute to come onto the field and being advised to wait until the end of the next over" and "failed to follow the umpire's instructions".
He was written up by standing officials Nigel Duguid and Gregory Brathwaite, third umpire Leslie Reifer and fourth official Patrick Gustard, but denied the accusation.
A subsequent disciplinary hearing with match referee Jeff Crowe found Pollard guilty, however.
The final T20I between West Indies and India is due to be played on Tuesday.
