Allrounder Calum Haggett has left Kent after seven years at Canterbury.

The 29-year-old, who joined from hometown club Somerset in 2013, made 119 appearances across all formats for the club.

That included playing in every game in Kent's run to the One-Day Cup final at Lord's in 2018, where they were beaten by Hampshire.

This season saw his outings restricted to the T20 Blast, after having played much of his cricket for the second XI in 2019.

He scored 1,373 runs and took 163 wickets for the club but is now seeking a new challenge after the expiration of his contract.

"Thanks to everyone at Kent cricket making my time here so enjoyable," said Haggett. "It has been an honour to play for Kent and call the county my home. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and I’m very grateful to Kent for giving me the opportunity to play professional cricket.

"An obvious highlight is reaching the One Day Cup final at Lord’s in 2018. We didn’t get the result we wanted, but to get to represent Kent at the ‘home of cricket’ in a cup final is what most youngsters dream of."

Director of cricket, Paul Downton, added: "Calum has been an excellent servant of Kent cricket over the last seven years.

"We wish him all the very best in the future."
