Jos Buttler has become just the second player to hit centuries in all three international formats for England.

Current women's captain Heather Knight is the only other player to reach the landmark in Tests, one-day internationals and T20Is.

Buttler added to his two tons in the longest format and nine in the 50-over game with a blistering 67-ball assault against Sri Lanka in the men's T20 World Cup Super 12s match in Sharjah.

He smashed six fours and half a dozen sixes, including one off the last delivery of the innings, during a memorable performance of 101 not out to become the first England man to complete the feat.

"I think we've witnessed a very very special T20 innings with Jos Buttler getting a 100 there," said assistant coach Paul Collingwood.

The wicketkeeper-batter is the 16th men's international to make hundreds across the forms, following in the footsteps of the likes of Chris Gayle, Mahela Jayawardene and Babar Azam.

Knight became the first women to reach three figures in all formats in 2020 when she scored an unbeaten 108 against Thailand in the women's T20 World Cup in February 2020.
