The move comes following the Headingley club's annual general meeting on Saturday in which the delay to the domestic season was discussed
Janet Bairstow, the mother of England wicket-keeper Jonny, has become Yorkshire's first-ever female vice-president.
The decision was confirmed during the club's annual general meeting held at Headingley on Saturday.
Bairstow is also the widow of ex-Yorkshire and England player David Bairstow and has previously spent 13 years as the club's cricket department administrator.
Former bowler Mike Cowan was also elected to the role, which will see the duo sit below returning president Geoff Cope.
Yorkshire are waiting to hear when they will start the season after the ECB deferred the beginning of the campaign to at least May 28 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Additionally, Headingley is due to host two international fixtures in the summer of 2020.
Australia and Pakistan are scheduled to face England in T20Is in July and August, matches which are now severely in doubt.
