Jake Lintott has signed a contract extension with Warwickshire which will keep him at Edgbaston until at least the end of 2025.

The wrist-spinner, who trialled with the county in 2020 before securing a contract, has taken 47 wickets in 35 T20 Blast outings for the Bears since making his debut against Glamorgan in August 2020.

In 2022, he collected a team-leading 22 wickets in the competition, a haul which placed him joint-fourth in the overall wicket-taking standings.

He has also made one first-class appearance for Warwickshire as well as finding himself in demand around the world, chalking up white-ball appearances in the Bangladesh Premier League, CPL and The Hundred among others.

Lintott had previously made a handful of appearances for Hampshire and Gloucestershire in the T20 Blast before linking up with Warwickshire.

"I'm delighted to extend my stay with the Bears," the 29-year-old said. "Edgbaston has become my home and I'm excited about what the future can hold.

"We have a strong squad who are determined to build on the success we showed last year. With the records we broke in 2022, we know as a group we can go one better and reach Finals Day at home. That's our aim this year and I'm confident we can achieve it.

"I'm someone who is always keen to learn and the experiences I've encountered in recent months will give me plenty of confidence heading into the season."

Head coach, Mark Robinson, added: "Jake has become an important player in our squad, so we're thrilled that he's extended his stay.

"Jake's skills give us a unique dimension to our bowling line-up and we're confident that he'll continue to become one of the competition's best spinners."
