Bangladesh have lost Shakib Al Hasan for the rest of their men's T20 World Cup campaign.
The 34-year-old suffered a hamstring problem while fielding in the defeat to West Indies are will play no further part.
Shakib will miss the group matches against South Africa (November 2) and Australia (November 4), as well as any future matches, should The Tigers progress.
No replacement will be called up for the remainder of the tournament.
BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told Cricbuzz: “Shakib sustained a left lower hamstring strain while fielding during the match against the West Indies. In a clinical examination, it was diagnosed as an injury of Grade 1 intensity.
”He is ruled out from participation in the last two matches of the tournament and until further review."
Defeats in each of their three matches in the Super 12s leave Bangladesh bottom of Group 1 and struggling to qualify for the semi-finals.
In six matches, Shakib had taken 11 wickets and scored 131 runs.
Figures of 2 for 17 against Sri Lanka saw the Kolkata Knight Riders allrounder become the outright leading wicket-taker in men's T20 World Cup history on 41, leapfrogging Pakistan's Shahid Afridi.
Mohammad Saifuddin is already missing for Bangladesh after being ruled out of the tournament with a back injury following four appearances.
