Matthews has not represented West Indies since her withdrawal from the series against Australia on the grounds of a breach of Cricket West Indies’ Code of Conduct
Hayley Matthews will be eligible for West Indies’ third one-day international against India after serving an eight-match ban.
The 21-year-old allrounder has not represented her country since her withdrawal from the series against Australia on the grounds of a breach of Cricket West Indies’ Code of Conduct.
The case was passed onto a disciplinary committee, which handed the side’s star player the suspension.
It will come to an end after the conclusion of the second ODI of India’s tour, which begins in Antigua. She has already missed three ODIs and three T20Is as part of her sanction.
Her last appearance for West Indies came against England on June 21 in a T20I defeat against their hosts.
Meanwhile, Deandra Dottin is continuing her rehabilitation following a shoulder injury that has kept her away from cricket since May. She missed the summer series against England and last played internationally in February.
Her return to playing is being managed by the national governing body.
