Benny Howell has extended his contract with Gloucestershire.

The allrounder has put pen to paper on a three-year extension and will now remain with the county until the end of the 2022 season.

Howell, who was Gloucestershire's leading wicket-taker in the Royal London One-Day Cup with 12, has been a part of the staff at the County Ground since 2012.

“Ultimately my goal is to be successful in a successful team. I thought long and hard and I am pleased to commit my future to this club,” he said.

“They have shown me commitment in providing a more elite environment for us as players to perform,.

“This, along with the talented group of players we have, make me genuinely believe we have the ability to win trophies and push for promotion. We have a great opportunity these next few years and I am excited to be a part of it to see how high we can go.”
