Lancashire have released a trio of young players, with George Burrows, Ed Moulton and Owais Shah all leaving the club after finishing their contracts.

23-year-old Burrows, a right-arm medium-pace bowler, made two first-class appearances for the club in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy, taking four wickets.

Fellow right-arm pace bowler Moulton also made his debut in last season’s Bob Willis Trophy, bowling 27 overs without taking a wicket in Lancashire's seven-wicket defeat against Leicestershire.

The 22-year-old spent the end of the 2021 season on loan at Derbyshire as injury cover for Luis Reece and took three wickets in two County Championship appearances.

Glasgow-born Shah did not make his first-team debut for Lancashire but was a regular for the second XI over the past three seasons, making 26 appearances in all formats.

A former Scotland Under-19 international, Shah scored 133 runs in six appearances for his country’s age-group side.
