Darren Gough had a 19-year professional career - playing for England, Yorkshire and Essex
Former England bowler Darren Gough has been awarded an MBE for services to cricket in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
The list was due to be released in June, it was pushed back to allow people to help during the coronavirus pandemic.
Gough, 50, took 229 wickets in 58 Tests and 225 wickets in 159 ODIs for his country.
In county cricket, he had two spells at Yorkshire either side of a stint at Essex. He retired from all forms of cricket in 2008 with 855 first-class wickets to his name and 598 in List-A matches.
Since retiring, Gough has gone on to be a radio broadcaster and took up a role as a bowling consultant for England's tour of New Zealand last winter.
