The left-armer will begin his fourth season with the club, having initially joined from Sussex at the start of the 2016 season. Alongside his work with the county, he has doubled up as Netherlands’ bowling coach since 2018
Gloucestershire seamer Chris Liddle has signed a one-year contract extension with the county.
The deal, which will see him through to the end of the 2020 season, follows a white-ball campaign that saw the club reach the quarter-finals of the T20 Blast, only missing out on a trip to Finals Day after being defeated by Derbyshire at Bristol.
The left-armer will begin his fourth season with the club next year, having initially joined from Sussex at the start of the 2016 season.
Alongside his work with Gloucestershire, he has doubled up as Netherlands’ bowling coach since 2018. He will be part of Ryan Campbell’s coaching staff that is aiming to qualify for the 2020 T20 World Cup at this month’s tournament in Dubai.
Speaking of his contract extension, Liddle said: “I am delighted to have extended my contract with Gloucestershire. Helping the team gain a home quarter final in the T20 blast was a notable highlight personally.
“2019 was a really successful year for the club and I’m proud to be part of this squad of players. I hope to contribute again towards a successful season next summer.”
Head coach Richard Dawson added: “Chris has been a valued member of the white ball squads this season. His contract extension brings with it a wealth of experience and competition within the squad.
“He has been involved in bowling coaching roles on an international level and having that in the dressing room is of huge benefit to our younger bowlers.”
