Defending champions West Indies have named their 15-strong squad for the T20 World Cup, with 2016 hero Carlos Brathwaite the most notable omission.
The big-hitting allrounder hit Ben Stokes for four consecutive sixes in the final over of the 2016 final to win the World Cup for West Indies. However, he has not been included in his side’s plans for their title defence.
Mystery spinner Sunil Narine also misses out but 36-year-old pacer, Ravi Rampaul, has been recalled to the national side for the first time since 2015. The Trinbago Knight Riders bowler is currently the leading wicket-taker in the Caribbean Premier League, with 17 wickets and an economy of 7.2 after eight matches.
Another player earning a call-up off the back of their CPL form is uncapped allrounder Roston Chase, who has scored 311 runs, including three half-centuries, and taken eight wickets for St Lucia Kings in eight matches to date.

Kieron Pollard will captain the side while Darren Bravo, Sheldon Cottrell, Jason Holder, and Akeal Hosein have been named as travelling reserves.
West Indies will begin their title defence on October 23, when they face England in Abu Dhabi.
