The 22-year-old former England U19 captain has committed to staying at the Ageas Bowl until at least the end of the 2021 season
Brad Taylor has signed a two-year contract with Hampshire.
The allrounder, who has represented the club at age-grade and academy level, will now stay at the Ageas Bowl until the end of the 2021 season.
Right-arm off-spinner Taylor, 22, contributed with bat and ball during a breakthrough one-day campaign in 2018. This summer, he has played a key part in the Hampshire second team and also appeared in two Vitality Blast and List A matches this year despite injury.
Taylor said: “I love playing for Hampshire and I’m really pleased to commit to the club for another two years.
“We’ve got an exciting group and I’m looking forward to working hard this winter and ensuring my game is in a good place to push on for a regular spot in the side next season.”
Director of cricket Giles White said: “We’re really pleased Brad has committed his future to Hampshire. He is a promising allrounder who has come through the ranks and contributed in all three disciplines in recent years.
“We feel he fits really well with the make-up of the group and if he continues to develop, I’m confident he will play a big part over the coming seasons.”
Taylor – who became the youngest Hampshire player in 146 years to play for the club when making his debut aged just 16 in August 2013 – featured in three Tests and 22 ODIs for England U19s.
