Gardner was struck on the back of the neck during a net session on Sunday
Ashleigh Gardner has returned to training after suffering a concussion during a training session on Sunday.
The 22-year-old allrounder bowled in the nets on Thursday as Australia continue to prepare for their tri-series with India and England and the subsequent T20 World Cup.
Gardner was struck on the back of the neck, having turned her back on Alyssa Healy, who was batting at the time.
She did not take part, therefore, in a warm-up game against a Cricket Australia XI on Monday.
She will continue to be assessed leading up to Australia’s first game against England on Saturday at Manuka Oval, and she will only be available to play if she passes a set of stringent tests and protocols.
Gardner is a key member of Australia’s 15-strong squad for the global tournament, with her off-spinners and ability to clear the ropes with the bat making her a crucial part of Meg Lanning’s side.
