Seamer Alex Evans has signed a contract extension with Leicestershire.
The 20-year-old made his County Championship debut in 2019 and continued his development in 2020, playing twice in the Bob Willis Trophy.
His new deal follows the announcement last week that Chris Wright had also extended his terms with the county.
Evans, a Loughborough University student, has taken 10 first-class wickets to date, having picked up the scalps of Harry Brook, Tom Kohler Cadmore and Haseeb Hameed during the 2020 campaign.
He has previously impressed in the club’s second string and is the latest in a line of youthful talent to commit their futures to Grace Road.
In recent times, Ben Mike, Hassan Azad, Lewis Hill, Gavin Griffiths and Nat Bowley have all signed new deals.
