Adam Hose will remain at Warwickshire though to the end of the 2022 season after signing a two-year contract extension.
The 27-year-old batsman joined the club in 2017 from Somerset and has become a key member of the club’s white-ball sides, while also playing in much of the county’s four-day campaign last season in Division One of the County Championship.
Hose’s success in the T20 Blast – he scores his runs at a strike-rate of 143.94 in the shortest format – led to his selection by Birmingham Phoenix in the inaugural draft for The Hundred. He has also played for Wellington Firebirds in New Zealand’s domestic T20 competition.
He struck his first red-ball century during a draw against Nottinghamshire last season, with his 111 coming off 202 deliveries against an attack that included Stuart Broad and James Pattinson.
Paul Farbrace, sport director at Warwickshire, said: “Adam is a tremendously talented cricketer who has the ability to become a star of the white ball game, not just in the UK but in premier tournaments around the world.
“However, we also see Adam as an important part of our long-term plans in all three formats and his challenge now is to refine his red ball game and to build on this year’s maiden first-class hundred.
“We certainly know that he is very motivated by this opportunity and have every confidence that Adam can continue developing to make more match winning contributions across all formats.”

Hose added: “I was made to feel very welcome by the players, coaches, staff and members when I joined Warwickshire in 2017. It’s a special club and I’m very proud to be a Bear until at least 2022.
“The management have shown great faith in me by extending my current contract for a further two years and I want to reward them for that by contributing more match-winning innings.
“We demonstrated that this young squad has character and could fight when the chips were down last season.
“With so many young players in the squad, we’re going to be much stronger from the 2019 experience and, if we can keep developing, we have every chance of being in a position to challenge for trophies again soon.”
