The veteran England pair become the first all-seam bowling combination to reach 1,000 Test wickets on day two of the second New Zealand Test at Mount Maunganui
England's James Anderson and Stuart Broad have become the first fast-bowling pair to combine for 1,000 Test wickets.
They became the second duo to reach four figures in international red-ball matches they have played together on day two of the second Test against New Zealand at Bay Oval.
Neil Wagner helped bring up the landmark, chipping a Broad delivery to Ollie Robinson during the seventh over of the afternoon session.
The Nottinghamshire seamer thought he had earlier brought up the milestone when Wagner was caught by Jack Leach, but the delivery was adjudged to be a no-ball.

Australia's Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath are the only other partnership to achieve such a feat - reaching 1,001 in 104 matches.
Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan and Chaminda Vaas (895), Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh of West Indies (762), and Aussies Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon (580) complete the current top five.
The latest addition to Anderson and Broad's remarkable career CV comes 15 years on from their maiden Test together, also against the Kiwis in Wellington in 2008.
In January 2019, the pair brought up 1,000 between them in all Tests when Anderson took 4 for 33 against West Indies in Barbados.
