Pothas, Middlesex’s assistant coach, joined the coaching staff under Stuart Law in 2019 and worked with the first team squad
Middlesex’s assistant coach, Nic Pothas, has announced his departure from the club with immediate effect, citing personal reasons.
Pothas joined the coaching stuff under Stuart Law in 2019 and worked extensively with the club’s first team squad.
Announcing his departure, Pothas said: "I’ve had the most amazing time at Middlesex over the past three years. The staff and players are some of the best people I’ve had the benefit of working with during my coaching career.
"They’ve made coming to work an absolute joy, each and every day. I’ve had the great fortune of making lifelong friends in a short space of time.
"For personal reasons, which have made it very tough on me for the last six months, it would not be possible to give my best to either the club or my family, which would make it unfair on both. Thanks for three years I’ll never forget."
In a statement, Middlesex added: "Nic leaves his post with the club’s full support, and full understanding of the decision he has reached in what is a difficult time for him. All at Middlesex wishes Nic and his family well and would like to thank him for all the has done throughout the three years he spent at Lord’s."
