Barbados: United States 115, England 117-0 - England won by 10 wickets

Defending champions England became the first nation into the Men's T20 World Cup semi-finals after thrashing United States at Kensington Oval.

Chris Jordan led the way with a divine hat-trick as USA were dismissed for 115, losing their last five wickets in six balls without scoring.

Ali Khan (0), Nosthush Kenjige (0) and Saurabh Netravalkar (0) were removed in successive deliveries to spark wild celebrations from the Barbados-born 35-year-old.

Nitish Kumar (30) and Corey Anderson (29) had helped navigate the tournament debutants and co-hosts into a reasonable position but they were unable to take advantage and were bowled with seven deliveries unused.

Needing to reach their target in 18.4 overs to qualify, England didn't hold back.

Jos Buttler raced to a half-century in 32 balls as part of an opening stand with Phil Salt (25 not out) worth 117.

The captain crushed five consecutive sixes from as many legal deliveries off Harmeet Singh, whose second over included a wide and went for 32.

And England completed the chase as Buttler carved a four behind square with two balls of the 10th over remaining, signalling the end of the tournament for a spirited USA.

West Indies and South Africa will now scrap over the remaining last four berth from Group 2 when they meet in North Sound on Monday (June 24).
