Madushanka has been replaced in Sri Lanka's squad by fellow left-armer Binura Fernando
Sri Lanka's poor start to the T20 World Cup has been exacerbated by the injury withdrawal of Dilshan Madushanka.
The left-arm seamer, who made his debut during the Asia Cup and impressed as his country went home with the title, suffered a quadriceps tear on the eve of Sri Lanka's 55-run defeat by Namibia.
He has been replaced in the squad by fellow left-armer Binura Fernando.
Madushanka would likely have featured for Sri Lanka on Sunday, but he hobbled out of the squad's training session on Saturday for an MRI scan.
Pramod Madushan took his vacant place alongside Dushmantha Chameera, who has recovered from the calf problem that kept him out of the Asia Cup.

Fernando, meanwhile, has played nine T20Is and four ODIs for Sri Lanka in the seven years since his international debut though last played a T20I in February.
He joins Lahiru Kumara, another fast bowler on his way back from injury, in competing for a starting berth when Sri Lanka face the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, a game they must win after their dismal start to the tournament.
