Glenn Maxwell has signed a bumper four-year contract extension with Melbourne Stars.
The Australian allrounder could well end his Big Bash career with the Stars after agreeing the new deal.

The Stars are one of only two of the competition's eight clubs never to claim the Big Bash crown, along with Hobart Hurricanes.
"I'm thrilled to commit to the Stars for another four seasons," he said.
"I want to win a BBL title at the Stars and I believe we have the list to do that"

Maxwell has been a part of the Stars setup for nearly a decade, having spent a single season at Melbourne rivals Renegades in 2011-12.
"We've got a really close group with some of the best T20 players in the world and excellent support from the coaching team," he said.
"The Stars have been part of my life for a decade and I'm already excited to see what we can achieve in BBL12 and beyond."

Maxwell's new deal was announced by the Stars on Friday.
Elsewhere, several big names are yet to be confirmed as re-signed for their respective clubs ahead of BBL12.
Chris Lynn, Peter Siddle, Riley Meredith and Josh Philippe are among around 60 players to be out-of-contract at the end of the current season.
