Movement That Inspires play of the day

Dan Worrall took his second wicket of the day with a perfect inswinging yorker to Alex Lees.

With Durham already two wickets down in the powerplay, their only source of resistance had been Lees who had smashed two boundaries in his 12 runs.

That was until Worrall delivered an inch-perfect yorker to beat his defences and reduce the visitors to 21 for 3 after five overs.

It was part of a brilliant four-over spell from the Australian seamer who finished his evening's work with 2 for 14.

Take The Lead, Drive Electric moment of the day

Dom Sibley was Surrey's unlikely hero with the bat as he smashed 67 off 48 balls to all but guide his side to Finals Day.

The moment of the innings and the match was his inventive shot to reach his fifty and he reverse flick recently recalled Brydon Carse over third for six.

The fielder was back on the boundary but he used the pace of the ball to manoeuvre it over his head to send the Kia Oval crowd wild.

His partnership with Sam Curran proved to be a match-winning one as the hosts cantered home with 12 balls to spare.

Respective powerplays offer sneak peek at Test conditions

The Kia Oval will play host to the third and final test between England and Sri Lanka on Friday and there was classical Test match bowling in the respective powerplays.

Durham managed 32 for 3 off their first six overs as they struggled to negotiate the pace and swing of Worrall and Topley.

In fact, the match started with three deliveries passing the outside edge of Graham Clark's bat.

It was the same story for Surrey with the bat as Brydon Carse, Ben Raine and Bas de Leede got the ball talking to restrict the hosts to 49 for 2 but that was not without plenty of plays and misses.

Surrey's opening County Championship pair of Rory Burns and Sibley were required to steady the ship and see off the new ball.
