The Cricketer looks at the main talking points from the men's Hundred clash between Oval Invincibles and London Spirit
You're lucky if you get one dramatic finish in a game of cricket. But to have two is almost greedy.
Thanks to Sam Curran overstepping, that is exactly what we got. Stewards had to return to their stations, those running the pyrotechnics had to reload, both sets of players had to refocus and fans hurried back to their seats.
Perhaps it was inevitable that amid the chaos, there would be some confusion too. Matt Critchley and Chris Wood forgot to run off the free hit when Curran hit the stumps, leaving Invincibles to celebrate the most dramatic of victories.

This will take some beating as the outstanding piece of fielding of this tournament.
Thirteen days ago Matthew Wade defied gravity at Lord's to prevent a six and there was enough piece of barely-believable fielding tonight too.
London Spirit needed eight from two balls having hauled themselves back from the brink in a thrilling chase.
Critchley looked set to reduce that to two off one when he sent a length ball from Curran soaring towards the deep mid-wicket boundary.
But Ross Whiteley had other ideas. Running around at full pelt, he leapt heroically, and clawed the ball back with a full-length dive, pulling the ball back sufficiently to keep the arrears down to two.
Perhaps forgotten amid the chaotic nature of the final, but it was a crucial moment in the eventual outcome and another example of how fielding continues to defy.

Just a couple of miles separate these two sides but much more does in the head-to-head stakes.
This was a third win in a row for the Invincibles - their only defeat came in their first meeting of the 2022 season.
Indeed, even that game has a dose of final ball drama, as Sunil Narine, challenged with defending six with a ball remaining, delivered a wide. Jordan Thompson had another chance to clear the rope but was only able to run a bye.
The West Indian was at the centre of the action a few weeks ago when he followed his 2 for 14 with 13 off five in the chase, hitting a six and a four off the 97th and 98th balls, before a two clinched victory with a delivery to spare.
