Kent wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson has signed a contract extension with the county until the end of the 2023 season.
The Sidcup-born academy graduate has become an important part of the club’s first team setup since replacing Sam Billings behind the stumps after the club captain suffered a shoulder injury in 2019.
Still only 22, he made a career-best 143 at Edgbaston against Warwickshire in the same season, and his form saw him selected for England Lions’ winter tour of Australia.
On extending his deal, Robinson said: “I’m excited to see what the future holds for this fantastic group of players and I’m over the moon to extend my contract at my home county for at least another three years. I definitely feel that there is a trophy around the corner for us son.
“Such is the strength of the squad here currently that all positions are up for grabs, and whilst I’m pleased that I’ve taken all the opportunities given to me so far, I can now knuckle-down and continue to improve my game.”

Kent director of cricket Paul Downton added: “I am delighted that Robbo has extend his stay here as this young team continues to gain experience and mature.
“Ollie has been an integral part of our Championship side since the beginning of 2019. He has achieved a lot in a short apace of time, including being selected for an England Lions tour.
“His work ethic and desire to improve is exceptional and he deserves to take his place on the long list of outstanding Kent wicketkeeper-batsmen, something that this county has become synonymous with for the last 150 years.”
