The 30-year-old becomes the first homegrown Spitfires player to sign a limited-overs deal
Kent have tied down batsman Alex Blake on a white-ball only contract until 2022.
The 30-year-old played all forms during the 2019 campaign and was already contracted for the upcoming season.
But the fresh terms are exclusively for the One-Day Cup and T20 Blast.
Blake becomes the first homegrown Spitfires player to agree to a deal of this nature.
In 46 first-class matches, Blake averages 22.89 and will take a step away from the four-day game to focus on the other two formats.
He scored 316 runs in limited-overs cricket for Kent last term.
"I really enjoyed playing red-ball cricket for Kent, especially scoring my 105 not out against Yorkshire in 2010, but limited-overs matches are where my passion lies and the Kent Spitfires are definitely going places in white-ball cricket," he said.
Director of cricket Paul Downton added: "I'm excited that Alex has become our first white-ball only contracted domestic player. He is already a brilliant striker of a cricket ball and an outstanding fielder.
"By focussing purely on his white ball game, we believe Alex can become a really consistent match-winner for Kent."
