Why can't things be sorted with a straightforward election between candidates nominated by the various counties. Why do we need outsiders to monitor things. It all seems nanny state to me, with its let's make sure we elect a suitably Woke individual, pretty much irrespective of their qualifications. It seems the media, with their virtual sponsoring of flavour of the month attitudes, has once again managed to sabotage independence.

Why have the ECB chosen these two as patsy's ? neither have track records in governance of this level of appointment , no credible Diversity track records, no offence but putting two Brown faces to provide 'credentials' the work of an all White Search Firm - is itself a sign of the white privilege's the ECB personifies. Perhaps the Former Chair who is respected and had enough integrity to quit should have been backed instead of cowing down to the counties , Or they should have asked the Head of NOMs co to oversee the process - DCMS get a grip
