Sunrisers Hyderabad will be without the allrounder, who has been an ever-present during the campaign, for the remainder of the competition
Washington Sundar has been ruled out for the rest of Sunrisers Hyderabad's 2023 Indian Premier League season with a hamstring injury.
The Indian all-rounder was ruled out on Thursday (April 27) with the franchise confirming the news via social media.
"Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 due to a hamstring injury. Speedy recovery, Washi," a statement read.
It is a big blow for a Sunrisers side who are one place off the bottom of the table with just two wins from their five games.

Sundar has been involved in all seven matches this term, picking up three wickets with an economy rate of 8.26. He has also scored 60 runs with the bat across five innings.
It continues Washington's luckless run in the IPL after a finger injury during the UAE leg of the tournament in 2021 forced him to pull out of the Royal Challengers Bangalore's campaign.
During his maiden season with Sunrisers in 2022 he missed four games due to a split webbing in his bowling hand.
Sunrisers are back in action when they face Delhi Capitals on April 29 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
