Jamieson suffered a recurrence of a lower-back stress fracture ahead of New Zealand's Test series against England
Sisanda Magala has signed for Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2023 Indian Premier League, replacing injured bowler Kyle Jamieson.
The quick suffered a recurrence of a lower-back stress fracture shortly before New Zealand's Test series against England in February and is expected to be unavailable for several months.
He was picked up at December's mini-auction for 1 crore (£100,000) after previously representing Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.

Magala is yet to make his IPL bow and went unsold at auction.
However, the South Africa international impressed in the SA20, taking 14 wickets at an economy of 8.68 for Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
Across his entire career, Magala has taken 136 wickets in 127 T20s, including three wickets in four T20Is since making his Proteas debut in 2021, and has also scored two half-centuries in the format.
He could, however, miss a couple of matches for CSK if he is selected for South Africa's upcoming ODI series against the Netherlands. That series is scheduled to run from March 31-April 2 while CSK's IPL campaign begins on March 31.
