Topley sustained the injury while fielding on his debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore
Reece Topley has been ruled out of the 2023 Indian Premier League after dislocating his right shoulder.
He did travel with the squad to Kolkata ahead of Thursday's clash against the Knight Riders but has since returned to the UK.
The England fast bowler sustained the injury while fielding during his Royal Challengers Bangalore debut against Mumbai Indians on April 2. He had earlier taken 1 for 14 from two overs with the ball.
South Africa allrounder, Wayne Parnell, has since been named as his replacement. Parnell previously represented Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils in the IPL, taking 26 wickets in 26 appearances between 2011 and 2014.

Speaking to the IPL's world feed on Thursday, head coach Sanjay Bangar said: "Reece, unfortunately, had to go back home because he's been ruled out of the tournament.
"We tried our best to keep him here, but the treatment and the experts suggest that he's going to be out of action for some time."
Topley is the third RCB player to be ruled out of the 2023 IPL, joining Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar, while this injury represents the latest set-back in his professional career.
In 2022, the 29-year-old missed the T20 World Cup after rupturing his ankle ligaments when he stepped on an advertising toblerone on the boundary while he has previously struggled with stress fractures in his back.
Bangar, however, did deliver some good news for RCB fans, confirming Wanindu Hasaranga and Josh Hazlewood are due to join up with the squad on April 10 and April 14, respectively.
Karnataka medium pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak, meanwhile, has been confirmed as Patidar's replacement.
