It had looked as if Chennai had done enough having set 201 for victory following Devon Conway's unbeaten 92 runs from 52 balls, but Sikandar Raza's late cameo won the game for Punjab
Chennai: Chennai Super Kings 200-4, Punjab Kings 201-6 - Punjab Kings win by four wickets
Sikandar Raza helped Punjab Kings seal a dramatic last-ball four-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings in Chennai.
The Zimbabwe allrounder hit the winning runs to make it only the third time in IPL history that a 200-plus score was successfully chased down.
It had looked as if Chennai had done enough having set 201 for victory following Devon Conway's unbeaten 92 runs from 52 balls, his best score in the IPL.
However, Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma helped to change the momentum as CSK saw the game slip away from them in the last five overs.
Chennai couldn't have asked for much more from their innings. With Conway at the crease, Punjab were never able to disrupt Chennai's momentum, and the icing on the cake appeared to be a smattering of last-over fireworks from MS Dhoni, who hit two sixes to send the crowd into delirium as they reached 200.

Punjab were below the run-rate for much of their innings, with their openers starting well but seemingly struggling after Simran Singh and Shikhar Dhawan fell for 42 and 28, respectively.
But Livingstone (40) looked to kick on, with Sam Curran supporting him at the other end. After consecutive sixes, however, he was caught by Ruturaj Gaikwad off Tushar Deshpande.
Jitesh (21) carried on in the same vein as the required rate started to turn in Punjab's favour for the first time. Curran then fell for 29 and Jitesh's cameo came to an end in the penultimate over, but with nine needed off the last over, Raza took charge.
