"A few more members" from the Capitals' bio-secure bubble have returned positive tests, ahead of their return to action on April 20 against Punjab Kings
Delhi Capitals have confirmed Mitchell Marsh has tested positive for Covid-19.
The Australia allrounder will now isolate for a minimum of seven days and must return two negative tests to resume playing.
The entire Capitals group of players and support staff underwent a fresh round of RT-PCR tests on Monday (April 18), with other positive cases having emerged.
Physio Patrick Farhart returned a positive test last week, with subsequent reports claiming the virus had also been detected in another member of the backroom team and an unnamed overseas player.
Travel to Pune for their next Indian Premier League match against Punjab Kings on April 20 has been delayed.
Marsh's arrival at the tournament was delayed due to Australia's white-ball matches in Pakistan.
He has featured in one match so far for Capitals, scoring 15 against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
"Delhi Capitals all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has tested positive for COVID-19, following which he has been admitted to a hospital," a statement read.

"The Delhi Capitals medical team is closely monitoring Marsh’s condition.
"A few more members from the Delhi Capitals bio-bubble, including support staff members, have returned positive tests as well.
"Though they are all asymptomatic, their condition is being monitored closely by the franchise.
"All remaining members of the bubble are currently in isolation in their respective rooms, and will be tested regularly."
Tournament rules state matches can only be postponed and rescheduled for later in the tournament if an individual team has less than 12 players (seven of which must be Indian) available.
Organisers had hoped limiting the tournament to venues in Mumbai and Pune would reduce the risk of cases again disrupting the competition.
In 2020, the pandemic forced the tournament to be delayed and held in the United Arab Emirates.
Last year saw the event begin behind closed doors in India before eventually being switched to the UAE after outbreaks across five different sides.
