Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed up England's Jason Roy as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh ahead of the Indian Premier League.
The Australia allrounder, whose 2020 tournament was cut short by injury, has opted not to travel to India due to personal reasons.
Marsh is understood to be concerned by the prospect of seven weeks inside another bio-secure bubble, as has become the norm across world cricket.
Roy, who went unsold during February's auction, has been picked up at his base price of 2crore.
In eight previous IPL matches the Surrey right-hander has struck 179 runs with a career-best score of 91 not out.
The David Warner-led Sunrisers kick-off their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 11 in Chennai.
Kane Williamson, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Holder and Mujeeb ur Rahman are the other overseas players at the Trevor Bayliss-coached franchise.
