The Australian left-armer has been traded by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of next month's mini-auction
Australian seamer Jason Behrendorff is returning to Mumbai Indians for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.
He previously represented the franchise between 2018 and 2020 before being picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore at the 2022 auction. He didn't play last season though and has now been traded to his former team.
In 2021, he was drafted by Chennai Super Kings as a replacement for Josh Hazlewood, but Hazlewood then re-joined the competition following the delay caused by the pandemic.
The move comes in anticipation of the mini-auction, which is set to take place shortly before Christmas on December 23.

By joining Mumbai Indians, Behrendorff will be part of a jampacked roster of high-profile seamers, adding a second Australian left-arm option after Daniel Sams, with Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah also on Mumbai's books should the pair be fit after respective injury layoffs.
Behrendorff featured for Middlesex in last season's T20 Blast and has been a long-time stalwart for Perth Scorchers.
No team has won as many titles as Mumbai Indians, but they finished last in the 2022 competition.
