Foster has been promoted to assistant coach for the 2023 IPL with ten Doeschate replacing him as fielding coach
Kolkata Knight Riders have announced two changes to their coaching line-up for the 2023 Indian Premier League.
Former England wicketkeeper James Foster has been promoted to assistant coach while Ryan ten Doeschate has joined the franchise as fielding coach.
Foster previously served as KKR's fielding coach but will now work alongside Abhishek Nayar as a deputy to head coach Chandu Pandit.
Former Netherlands international, ten Doeschate, played for KKR between 2011 and 2015, winning two IPL titles and scoring 326 runs and taking two wickets in 29 appearances.

He retired from cricket at the end of 2021.
In a statement, KKR CEO, Venky Mysore, said: "We are delighted that James Foster has taken on more responsibility in his new role as assistant coach and he will be a great resource for the head coach, Chandu Pandit, along with Abhishek Nayar (assistant coach), Bharat Arun (bowling coach) and Omkar Salvi (assistant bowling coach).
"In addition, we are very happy to welcome Tendo back to the KKR family in his role as fielding coach. Tendo played an important role as a player and has been a genuine supporter of KKR all these years. These two appointments strengthen the support staff under the leadership of head coach Chandu Pandit."
In addition to their two IPL titles, KKR reached the final in 2021. Last season, they finished seventh, failing to qualify for the playoffs for the eighth time in 15 years.
