Kolkata Knight Riders have acquired James Foster as fielding coach for the upcoming Indian Premier League.
The 39-year-old joins the franchise for the whole of the 13th edition of the competition, which begins on March 29, joining the backroom team led by Brendon McCullum.
Foster, who played seven Tests, 11 one-day internationals and five T20s for England, replaces Subhadeep Ghosh who occupied the role last year.
Since retiring in 2018 after 18 years at Essex, Foster has occupied several coach roles.
