Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Punjab Kings in the 2023 Indian Premier League.
The match is scheduled to start at 7.30pm local time (3pm GMT) on Sunday, April 9.
The match will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Punjab Kings will be searching for their third successive victory as they look to maintain their perfect start to the 2023 IPL season.
They started the season with a close seven-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders, thanks to a half century from Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Arshdeep Singh’s three-wicket haul.
Their victory over Rajasthan Royals was no less convincing, defending a total of 197 for four to win by five runs. Shikhar Dhawan’s 86 not out set up the total, which was enough thanks largely to Nathan Ellis' impressive four-wicket haul.
The fortunes of Sunrisers Hyderabad have differed greatly at the start of this season, with two defeats from their two matches. The side were dominated by Rajasthan Royals in their campaign opener, losing by 72 runs.
Sunrisers are especially struggling for runs, averaging just 126 from two completed innings. They put up little fight against Lucknow Super Giants, managing just 121 batting first before succumbing to a five-wicket defeat with four overs remaining.

Kagiso Rabada has joined up with the squad after South Africa’s ODI series against the Netherlands, and is expected to be available in this fixture, as is Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who retired hurt in the win against the Royals. However, the match is too soon for Liam Livingstone, who has travelled to India to join up with his teammates.
Marco Jansen and Heinrich Klassen will be in contention for their first appearances of the season given the poor start made by the Sunrisers.
It will be imperative for Sunrisers to start strongly in this match, as they look to force an upturn in form. Key to this will be Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is expected to open the bowling. At the other end will be Shikhar Dhawan, presenting an intriguing battle between the pair.
They have faced off 11 times before, with Dhawan struggling to score quickly, with just 50 runs from 54 balls, including no sixes. However, Kumar has only dismissed the Kings' captain twice, meaning Dhawan may use his opening overs against Bhuvi to get set before targeting other Sunrisers bowlers.
