What's the match?

Rajasthan Royals take on Delhi Capitals in the 2023 Indian Premier League.

When is it taking place?

The match is scheduled to start at 3.30pm local time (11am GMT) on Saturday, April 8.

Where is the match being played?

The match will be played at Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Baraspara.

Who's got form?

Rajasthan Royals began their campaign with a 72-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad before falling a handful of runs short of chasing 198 against Punjab Kings last time out.

Big hitters Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson have both chalked up half-centuries already in the 2023 IPL while Jason Holder has impressed with the ball, picking up three wickets.

The Capitals are yet to get any points on the board after losing to Lucknow Super Giants (50 runs) and Gujarat Titans (six wickets).

Several of their star players are yet to fire this season, but there are some positives in the batting department, with David Warner scoring 93, including one half-century, in his two innings.

What's the team news?

Dhruv Jurel proved to be a smart introduction as an impact player for the Royals against the Kings, with the 22-year-old's 32 not out off 15 balls nearly seeing his side over the line. Expect him to feature once again.

The Capitals are without Rishabh Pant for the entire season due to injury.

What's the key matchup?

Delhi Capitals' bowlers will have to be on it for the full 20 overs against the Royals. The men in pink have explosive options at the top of the order in Buttler and Samson, and no shortage of middle order firepower with the likes of Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer.

As they showed against Punjab Kings last time out, ever a flurry of early wickets doesn't dint their confidence. Hetmyer and Jurel scored 61 runs off 26 balls for the seventh wicket and very nearly delivered an unlikely victory for their side.

A tough day could be in store for Khaleel Ahmed, Anrich Nortje and co.
