Uncapped wicketkeeper-batsman Finn Allen has signed for Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement for Josh Philippe ahead this year’s Indian Premier League.
Allen, a 21-year-old New Zealander, has impressed in domestic cricket for Wellington and struck a 59-ball 128 during a 50-over match in February.
He was also the leading run-scorer in New Zealand’s Super Smash T20 competition, hitting 512 runs at 56.88 and a strike rate of 193.93, including the most fours and sixes of any player.
