The Cricketer takes a look at the next fixture in the 2022 Indian Premier League season
Delhi Capitals take on Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League.
The game will be played on Thursday, April 7. The first ball will be bowled at 7.30pm local time (3pm GMT).
The game will be held at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Mumbai.
Lucknow got off to a shaky start in this year’s IPL but have since won two games convincingly.
They failed to defend meagre 158 for 6 in their first game against Gujarat Titans but followed it up with an impressive 211 for 4 against Chennai Super Kings. They then defended 169 for 7 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Delhi Capitals won their first game against Mumbai Indians, scoring 179 for 6 in just 18.2 overs. They struggled in their second game against Gujarat Titans, falling 14 runs short in a chase of 172.
Evin Lewis
Lucknow and West Indies batter Evin Lewis will be the key wicket for Delhi. He's only come off once in three innings so far, but he made 55 off just 23 balls in the win against Chennai.
It's a packed Lucknow top order with the likes of Quinton de Kock and and KL Rahul, but Lewis is the match-winner.
Trying to keep him at bay will be Delhi's lead attack-leaders Kuldeev Yadav and Mustafizur Rahman. Anrich Nortje may well return after injury.
They have both kept economy rates below seven so far and, given that no Delhi batsman has passed 50 yet, they will be vital to giving the Capitals a fighting chance. David Warner's arrival will give impetus to that batting line-up.
