Suryakumar Yadav scored a half-century to rescue his side from 79 for 6 but Anuj Rawat scored 66 runs off 47 balls to help his side chase down 151
Pune: Mumbai Indians 151-6, Royal Challengers Bangalore 152-3 – Royal Challengers Bangalore won by seven wickets
Royal Challengers Bangalore extended their winning streak to three matches with a seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in Pune.
After reducing Mumbai to 79 for 6, a half-century from Suryakumar Yadav threatened to take the game away from Faf du Plessis’ side. However, RCB always looked comfortable in pursuit of 151 and sealed the two points with nine balls to spare.
Mumbai Indians started brightly, with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan sharing a 50-run opening stand.
But the former’s dismissal two balls after the powerplay changed the complexion of the game and after a brief partnership between Kishan and Dewald Brevis, Mumbai Indians lost four wickets in the space of 10 balls to collapse from 60 for 1 to 62 for 5.

Suryakumar Yadav scored a half-century in vain for Mumbai
Brevis, Kishan, Tilak Varma and Kieron Pollard all departed during this spell and were soon joined by Ramandeep Singh, who was caught behind by Dinesh Karthik off Harshal Patel’s bowling in the 14th over.
However, the one batter RCB could not dismiss was Yadav, who put on an unbeaten 72-run stand off 41 balls with Jaydev Unadkat to drag his side to 151 for 6 at close. Yadav finished not out on 68 (37 balls) while Unadkat scored 13 runs off 14 balls.
Unfortunately, his efforts did little to halt RCB’s match to victory. Much like Sharma and Kishan, du Plessis and Rawat shared a 50-run opening partnership to help their side to 61 for 1 at the 10-over mark – one run fewer than Mumbai at the same stage but with nine wickets in hand.
From that point, Rawat and Virat Kohli kicked on, sharing an 80-run second-wicket stand off 52 balls before the former was runout for 66 (47) in the 17th over.
Kohli followed in the penultimate over, pinned lbw by Brevis, leaving Glenn Maxwell and Karthik to see RCB home.
