The World Test Championship (WTC) Final will take place at Lord's for the first time.

The final will be the first of two Test matches at the home of English cricket in Summer 2025 and begins on Wednesday 11 June.

South Africa will take on defending champions Australia after securing their spot in a Boxing Day win over Pakistan. It will be the first time they are appearing in the final and they will be the team in form after seven wins in their last 11 Tests.

Australia, fresh from a 3-1 series victory over India, will be defending their crown after beating India in last year's final at The Oval.

The tournament was introduced in 2019 by the ICC to deliver a finale to each two-year cycle of Test cricket. The first title was won by New Zealand against India in 2021, and it was followed by Australia's victory in 2023. The next final will be 2025 before the cycle begins again for the 2027 showpiece.

The ICC says demand for tickets will be high and those who want to secure their seat can sign up for ticket updates on the Lord's website.

How to get tickets for the WTC Final at Lord's
