The New Zealand official will become the first female to stand in the climax of a global cricket competition at the Melbourne Cricket Ground
Kim Cotton is set to make history during the T20 World Cup final on Sunday as the first women to stand in the climax to a global cricket tournament.
The 42-year-old will take to the field alongside Ahsan Raza for the match between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Gregory Braithwaite, the West Indies official, has been named as TV umpire while the fourth umpire is Zimbabwe's Langton Rusere.
Chris Broad, the former England Test batsman, is the match referee for a final which is expected to lure more than 90,000 spectators.
Auckland-born Cotton's appointment is another historic moment for the sport. She took charge of Australia's semi-final win over South Africa and has been retained for her fifth appearance of the tournament.
Pakistan's Raza, who is also standing in his first final, had been pencilled in to officiate during India and England's washed-out semi-final.
A former wicket-keeper, the 45-year-old was on the field for Australia and India's semi-final clash in the 2017 50-over World Cup.
