Sri Lanka have replaced Dusan Shanaka as white-ball captain, with the roles now split across all three formats.
Kusal Mendis has been placed in charge of the ODI team, while star leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga is the new T20I skipper.
Mendis was at the helm through much of the recent 50-over World Cup following an injury to allrounder Shanaka, who has been named in both preliminary limited-over squads for upcoming series against Zimbabwe despite losing the captaincy.
Charith Asalanka has been appointed as vice-captain across the 50-over and T20 sides, with Hasaranga still on the comeback trail having not played for Sri Lanka since the final of the World Cup qualifier in July against the Netherlands.

He has been out with a hamstring issue since then but captained Colombo on December 30 in a List A contest that was ultimately washed out.
He has prior captaincy experience, having won the Lanka Premier League title earlier in 2023, while Mendis also leads a team in the competition.
Dimuth Karunaratne remains Sri Lanka's Test captain.
