Shukri Conrad will look after South Africa's Test team, with Rob Walter in charge of the Proteas' white-ball side
South Africa have opted to split their coaching structure in replacing Mark Boucher, with Shukri Conrad and Rob Walter appointed.
Conrad has been named as the Proteas' new Test head coach, with Walter (pictured above) looking after the white-ball sides.
Boucher, the former wicketkeeper, announced his resignation after South Africa's tour of England but stayed on until his country's premature exit from the T20 World Cup following a defeat by the Netherlands.
Both new coaches arrive with plenty of experience on South Africa's domestic circuit. Prior to the restructuring of the system, he led the Lions and Cobras franchises to titles. Since then, he has coached Uganda and led South Africa Under-19s at last year's World Cup.

Walter has previously been involved with the national team, spending four years as strength and conditioning coach a decade ago.
He has also headed up the Titans franchise and worked in the Indian Premier League with Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils, as well as working in New Zealand domestic cricket for five years.
They are the latest nation to split their coaching roles, with England doing so when replacing Chris Silverwood with Brendon McCullum and Matthew Mott. England had previously enlisted Ashley Giles as white-ball coach in 2012 to manage Andy Flower's workload.
South Africa have also experimented in the past with a split structure: Russell Domingo was briefly the Proteas' specialist T20 coach before eventually succeeding Gary Kirsten in all formats.
