Cricket South Africa have confirmed the men's home international schedule for 2022/23, with a three-match ODI series against England scheduled for late January.

The first two matches of the series, which was rearranged from December 2020 due to Covid-19, will take place in Bloemfontein on January 27 and January 29 before moving to Kimberley for the third ODI on February 1.

Kimberley's Oval hasn't hosted a senior international fixture since September 2018, when South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by five wickets in an ODI.

The series forms part of the 2023 Cricket World Cup Super League, with 30 points (10 per win) at stake. However, with the SA20, South Africa's new T20 franchise tournament, due to begin on January 10, the expected scheduling clash could raise some player availability issues.

Following England's visit, South Africa will host West Indies for a multi-format series in February and March, contesting two Test matches as part of the 2023 World Test Championship cycle, three ODIs, and three T20Is.

The Tests will take place in Centurion (February 28) and Johannesburg (March 8), respectively. The two sides will then move to Buffalo Park, East London (March 16/18) and Potchefstroom (March 21) for the ODIs before returning to Centurion (March 25/26) and Johannesburg (March 28) for the T20I leg.

South Africa will finish their home season with a two-match ODI series against the Netherlands, which also counts towards the 2023 Cricket World Cup Super League. The first ODI is scheduled for Benoni on March 31 while the second will take place in Johannesburg on April 2.

These two matches are carried over from three-match series in December 2021 which was cut short due to Covid-19.

CSA CEO, Pholetsi Moseki, said: "South Africa is fast becoming the home-soul for international cricket. We are a proud cricketing nation, with abundance of talent, grit, and temperament for the game.

"CSA is thrilled to be hosting England, West Indies and the Netherlands, all worthy opponents, in what is billed to be an exciting summer of international cricket.

"This is principally good news to our fans who have been starved of the blend of cricket on offer at stadiums since 2020 pandemic. These bumper fixtures confirm that cricket in South Africa is indeed open for business. As we look forward to hosting these cricketing powerhouses, we invite our fans to swell the stadiums in numbers to support the Proteas as they lock horns with the best in the world."

In 2023, South Africa will also host the inaugural Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup (January 14-19) and Women's T20 World Cup (February 10-26).
