The intra-squad warm-up match scheduled for Saturday (November 21) has been cancelled but England players are unaffected
A second South Africa player has tested positive for Covid-19 with a week to go until the first of six white-ball matches against England are scheduled to get underway.
An additional individual and two other teammates who are deemed to have been close contacts are already self-isolating.
None of the players involved have been named and official replacements are not being sought.
Cricket South Africa are keeping the ECB abreast of all developments "to ensure the most responsible plan of action going forward."
The intra-squad warm-up match scheduled for Saturday (November 21) has been cancelled as a result.
All of England players and staff tested negative for coronavirus upon arriving in South Africa and their preparations for the matches will continue.
"All Covid-19 tests administered from the England camp earlier this week all returned negative results. Our plans continue and the team are preparing to play our first intra-squad warm-up match as normal at Newlands tomorrow."
South Africa are scheduled to make their return to competitive action with three T20s in Cape Town and Paarl on November 27, 29 and December 1. They are followed by a trio of one-day internationals against the 50-over world champions from December 4, 6 and 9.
All matches are being played behind closed doors.
