The BCCI has now confirmed that Pant is being transferred to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai
Rishabh Pant has been airlifted to a hospital in Mumbai to continue treatment on the injuries he sustained in a serious car accident last month.
The episode unfolded as the 25-year-old was driving towards Roorkee, Uttarakhand, when, according to local police, Pant's car struck a divider and caught fire.
Fortunately, he emerged without life-threatening injuries and was taken to a private hospital in Roorkee before being moved to Max Hospital, Dehradun.
The BCCI has now confirmed, though, that Pant is being transferred to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai, where he will be under the supervision of Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala.

Pant is set to undergo surgery and other procedures on knee ligament tears sustained in the crash.
A BCCI statement added that Pant, who captains Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League and has represented his country 129 times, "will continue to be monitored by the BCCI medical team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation".
"The board will make every effort to aid and expedite the recovery process of Rishabh and will provide him with all the support he needs during this period."
