The England and Sussex seamer is on the brink of a full recovery from a long-term elbow injury which ruled him out of the T20 World Cup and The Ashes
Jofra Archer believes he is approaching the end of his injury nightmare after providing a positive update regarding his recovery from a right elbow problem.
The 26-year-old has not played since August after suffering a recurrence of a stress fracture in the joint.
Archer had undergone surgery in May to correct the issue but was hit by another setback upon his return for Sussex.
He missed the entire international summer including the home India Test series and was ruled out for the remainder of 2021, which saw him absent for the men's T20 World Cup and the second half of the Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates.
Now he has a watching brief for the entire Ashes series in Australia, with the hope of returning in time for the tour of West Indies in January and March.
Great to hear from @JofraArcher 👋

That target feels increasingly realistic after a recent scan returned "promising" results.
"It was a tough one to take seeing the ball bouncing and seaming a little bit," he told Channel 7 at tea on day one of the first Ashes Test at The Gabba, after England had been bowled out for 147.
"This is one tour as a fast bowler that you really don't want to miss.
"The results [of the latest scan] came back yesterday and it was quite promising, actually - everything is moving forward nicely.
"It is just a matter of waiting a little bit more, being a little bit more patient. I am almost at the end of the road."
