The ex-New Zealand spinner arrives alongside Andre Borovec and Clint McKay as part of Andrew McDonald's support staff
Australia men have made Daniel Vettori a permanent addition to their backroom team as a full-time assistant coach alongside Andrew McDonald.
The former New Zealand spinner, who played 113 Tests, 295 one-day internationals and 34 T20Is, worked with the team during the white-ball leg of the Pakistan tour.
He has put together a formidable coaching CV since the end of his playing career, working with Bangladesh, CPL side Barbados Royals, Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League, IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore and English county Middlesex.
Vettori joins up ahead of a schedule that includes tours to Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and India, a T20 World Cup later this year and the 50-over equivalent in 2023.
"I was really impressed with what I saw of the group in Pakistan in the way they approached preparation, planning and playing," said Vettori.
"It’s a very strong and unified group which has the potential to have a very rewarding and hopefully successful period ahead."
Last month, Vettori was confirmed as Birmingham Phoenix men's coach for The Hundred - he served in the interim in the absence of McDonald last season - a position that will not be affected by the appointment.

Andre Borovec has also been enlisted, after leaving his assistant role with Cricket Victoria.
He will lead the A team in Sri Lanka before the upcoming Test series alongside Australian women’s team assistant coach Ben Sawyer and Sunny Kaliyar.
"Andre has been fantastic for the group when he has been involved as an extremely skilled and experienced high-performance coach," said McDonald.
"He is a great fit culturally and brings the skills to complement our high-performance specialists.
"I have worked with Daniel previously and could not speak more highly of his approach, work ethic and rapport he brings.
"His experience and balanced style are well documented. He is a great fit and will bring an enormous amount of knowledge to the team."
Clint McKay will be added to the coaching setup for the white-ball matches of the tour, joining a team that also includes Michael Di Venuto who remains as batting coach.
